Introduction

To connect SwyxIt! to the server without using a VPN, SwyxIt! provides built-in support for the Remote Connector. The Remote Connector establishes a connection between the client and the server via an SSL tunnel. All communication between the client and the server, including SIP signaling and audio, is transmitted through this tunnel.

All skins delivered with the current versions of the Contact Center are compatible with the use of the Remote Connector.

Technischer Hintergrund

Within the skins, the server URL is always set to http://%VisualGroupsServerName%. This variable is resolved depending on the current state.

The use of HTTPS is neither possible nor required in this case. The SSL connection is already provided via the Remote Connector’s SSL tunnel.
